Remote Hydraulic Crimp Heads for Transmission & Substation Work

Some crimping jobs happen where a full-size tool can’t follow. HTC supplies remote hydraulic crimp heads from Izumi, covering capacities from 12T through to 200T. Remote crimp heads separate the compression head from the pump unit. The head positions at height, inside switchgear, or in confined access while the pump stays on the ground.

That opens up transmission splices, substation connections, and full-tension joints that a standard tool cannot reach. The range handles copper and aluminium conductors up to 1,000mm². Higher-capacity models use double-acting pump operation for faster ram retraction. All heads connect to an external 10,000psi hydraulic pump.
