What started in a garden shed in 1982 has grown into a nationwide specialist operation — two branches, hundreds of brands, and a team that knows these tools as well as the people who use them.

OUR STORY
Since 1982
HTC was founded in 1982 by Roy and Ishbel Huskinson — starting small, working hard, and building a reputation one customer at a time. Roy’s original principle was simple: sell good quality equipment, at a fair price, with good back-up and service. Forty years on, it still is.
In 2001, Robb Huskinson took the business into its next chapter — honouring the foundation his parents built while expanding the range, the team, and the branch network to meet the demands of a growing New Zealand industry.
Today HTC operates from Auckland and Christchurch, serving contractors, engineers, and infrastructure operators across the country.
That founding principle continues to guide every decision the team makes — from the brands we choose to represent, to the standards we hold ourselves to in customer service, staff development, and supplier relationships.
