Manual torque multipliers

A comprehensive range of manual torque multipliers up to 47,500 Nm, with epicyclic gearing, ±4% accuracy, and an Anti Wind-Up Ratchet on higher ratios.

More Information

Norbar Torque Multipliers use multiple stages of epicyclic gearing to deliver high torque output from a compact hand tool, up to 47,500 Nm as standard. An Anti Wind-Up Ratchet is fitted as standard on higher ratio models, locking the tool onto the fastener between strokes for safer, more practical operation. Accuracy is guaranteed better than ±4%.

Key Features

  • Multiple stages of epicyclic (planetary) gearing multiply input force into high output torque.
  • Anti Wind-Up Ratchet fitted as standard on higher ratio models, for safer, more practical operation.
  • Accuracy guaranteed better than ±4%.
  • Compatible with electronic torque transducers for precise monitoring.
  • High ratios allow the use of a smaller hand tool, suiting confined or limited-access work.
  • Range of reaction styles and nose extensions available for restricted-access applications.
  • Manufactured in England.

Typical Applications

  • Structural and industrial bolting requiring high output torque
  • Applications where space or operator strength limits standard tools
  • Confined-access work requiring nose extensions
  • Jobs requiring precise, documented torque monitoring
