The Durapac DBT Series stretches bolts directly through hydraulic pressure, delivering consistent, friction-free preload across multiple points at once. Unlike a torque wrench, it can tighten more than one fastener simultaneously, so gasket compression stays uniform across critical flanged connections. In addition, ten load cells cover 3/4″ to 5-3/4″ (M20 to M150), fitting all standard ANSI and API flanges.
How It Works
The tensioning process follows four straightforward steps:
- Fit the tensioner over the stud.
- Apply hydraulic pressure to stretch the stud to the required preload.
- Wind the nut down against the joint face while it’s under tension.
- Release the pressure and remove the tool, leaving accurate, friction-free clamp load.
