Puller Tensioner Winches for Precise, Controlled Back-Tension

Overhead conductor stringing requires both pulling force and controlled back-tension simultaneously. HTC supplies puller tensioner winches from TEMA for single and double conductor stringing operations. A winch that only pulls isn’t enough for controlled overhead stringing. The conductor needs to stay taut at a controlled load throughout to prevent ground contact and sag.

The AF series delivers standard hydraulic pull-tension for everyday stringing loads. AFD digital models add electronic tension monitoring and control, with the AFD1510 handling higher-capacity conductor and OPGW stringing. All models mount on trailers for site mobility.
