Built for Restricted Inlet Pipe & Gas Applications
The Sava PLUGY G and PLUGSY GM range is engineered to seal and test pipelines and gas pipelines from 50mm through to 500mm diameter. Their overlapping multi-size design means fewer plugs are required on-site, helping crews work faster while reducing equipment inventory.
Manufactured with a highly flexible rubber sleeve and an innovative design, these plugs feature a special elliptical shape. This allows them to pass through very small insertion diameters and narrow openings while remaining highly adaptable for complex utility and gas network maintenance.
PLUGY G vs PLUGSY GM – What’s the Difference?
| Feature | PLUGY G – Blocking Plugs | PLUGSY GM – Bypass Plugs |
| Primary Function | Designed for complete pipe sealing and isolation in specialized lines. | Includes an integrated bypass, allowing flow-through capability or pressure monitoring while maintaining a secure pneumatic seal. |
| Ideal Applications | Gas and utility pipeline maintenance and repairLeak detection in restricted networksLine isolation with tight or narrow entry pointsGeneral pipeline sealing operations | Pipeline testing with flow-through or gas measuringTemporary bypass operations in restricted linesControlled drainage and sampling applicationsUtility and municipal gas infrastructure maintenance |
| Design & Capabilities | Highly flexible construction and minimized deflated diameters allow for quick deployment even in the most difficult access environments. | Bypass sizes are available in 5mm and 7mm openings depending on the model size, supporting safe monitoring during critical operations. |
