PORTABLE LINE BORING MACHINE SAVES TIME & MONEY

by - 28 September 2011

New Zealand’s first 20hp hydraulic line boring machine has more than proved its worth for Lyttleton Engineering.

Since being supplied by HTC in 2010, the line borer was first used to face a steel surface on a tug Voith propeller in dry dock. Another job was boring out the bearing bores on the spud carriers of a bucket dredge. Significant savings were made doing the job on-site with the YPTM-20 line borer.
