We’re looking for a Tooling & Solutions Consultant to join our Christchurch team. This is a full-time role perfect for someone who enjoys customer interaction, has technical aptitude, and thrives in a dynamic sales environment.
What you will be doing
● Managing customer enquiries (phone, web, walk-in) and guiding transactions from start to finish
● Developing and delivering technical quotes and estimates in a timely, professional manner
● Growing revenues by identifying new business opportunities and maximising customer relationships
● Coordinating equipment despatch, collection, and inventory management with accuracy
● Applying technical expertise to recommend the best solutions for customer applications
● Supporting the sales team with lead generation and customer relationship building
What we are looking for
● Excellent customer service and telephone sales skills with strong attention to detail
● Technical knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems, or a genuine interest in learning
● Problem-solving attitude with practical, hands-on thinking
● Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and ability to work with CRM systems
● Strong communication and organisational skills (verbal and written)
● Experience with sales, quoting, and understanding pricing and margins a plus
● Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and take initiative
● A positive attitude and willingness to pitch in when the team needs you
