The Role
As an Off Hire Technician, you’ll be the go-to person for bringing our hire tools back to life. You’ll inspect, clean, test, and prep everything that comes back from site — getting gear back on the shelf and ready for the next customer. It’s hands-on, detail-driven work that’s key to keeping our team and our customers moving.
Day-to-Day You’ll Be:
- Turning around returned tools fast – inspect, clean, service, tag, and re-shelve
- Helping the hire team with bookings, calls, and walk-ins
- Coordinating with service and calibration to keep gear flowing
- Introducing new tools – test, label, engrave, and get them system-ready
- Keeping work areas tidy, compliant, and safe
- Learning as you go – manuals, supplier info, hands-on training
What You’ll Bring
- Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail
- Good with systems – Outlook, Word, Excel, accurate record keeping
- Great communication and a team mindset
- Physically capable and ready to get stuck in
- Experience in tools, mechanical, automotive, or trade fields is a bonus
