âš¡ Electrical Safety Equipment Calibration

Certified Testing of High-Voltage PPE & Live-Line Tools

HTC provides professional calibration and dielectric testing of electrical safety equipment used by utility crews, electricians, and line mechanics across New Zealand. Our services help ensure your gear remains safe, compliant, and fit for use around high-voltage installations.

What We Calibrate

We test and certify a wide range of live-line PPE, including insulating gloves, sleeves, mats, and blankets. Our technicians also calibrate and inspect insulated rescue hooks, operating poles (hot sticks), voltage detectors, and barrier equipment. All tests are performed using calibrated equipment and to relevant industry standards.

Dielectric Testing Methods

Each item undergoes high-voltage dielectric testing to assess insulation integrity and detect breakdowns or defects that could compromise operator safety. We follow standards such as ASTM D120 and IEC 60903 for gloves and sleeves, as well as WorkSafe NZ and industry-specific guidelines for other HV tools.

Certification & Documentation

Upon completion, each item receives a traceable test certificate showing the voltage levels applied, pass/fail results, technician ID, and next recommended test date. Where applicable, we attach inspection labels or barcoded tags to help support inventory tracking and audit readiness.

Who We Serve

Our electrical PPE calibration services are relied on by utilities, electrical contractors, infrastructure maintenance teams, and asset owners who require compliance with safety protocols and live-line working regulations. Regular testing helps prevent equipment failure and protects workers operating in high-risk environments.
