Despatcher/ Equipment Assembly

 Due to Internal Promotion, we are currently seeking a Despatcher/Equipment Assembly person  at our warehouse in Airport Oaks. This role is a great opportunity for a computer savvy, motivated, fit, and mechanically minded person to learn and apply new skills, and jump on the ladder of opportunity. 

 The Despatcher  will liaise and touch on many facets of the wider business with the preparation, invoicing, and despatch of a variety of tools and equipment.  This gives a great grounding for further advancement into some interesting roles within the Group.  The ability to learn quickly and a good mechanical aptitude are key skills as there will be some assembly and light servicing of equipment in preparation for the customers use. We are a small team, so we all get stuck in and help each other out when the pressure is on.

 

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Reliable and timely despatch of goods to customer destination
  • Maintaining a tidy and neat display and inventory of stock
  • Some assembly and repairs of goods as required
  • Good record-keeping and invoicing of incoming and outgoing goods in our computer system
  • Customer liaison when collecting/dropping off equipment.

 

The ideal candidate shall possess:

  • Pride in maintaining a well-organised, neat and well-stocked warehouse
  • Attention to detail and computer literacy to maintain good records/invoicing of incoming and outgoing goods
  • An awesome memory and a practical nature
  • Motivated, mechanically-minded and able body to do some heavy lifting and assembly/repairs as required
  • Existing forklift license is advantageous, but not required.
